CHILDBIRTH PREPARATION SERIES – A seven session series focused on enhancing knowledge of the birth process, options & active coaching with time allotted for practicing various positive coping techniques & viewing birth videos; currently offered Weds. 7-9 PM in Durham

REFRESHER CHILDBIRTH CLASS – This class is geared for couples that have had childbirth classes before & want to review. Meets for one session, 3 hrs. on a Sat. afternoon, 3-6PM. Cost - $75; private sessions available, scheduled at time & location of your choice - $25 per hour fee plus travel costs.

PRIVATE CLASSES – For expectant mothers who are unable to attend other classes for whatever reason or have special needs such as bedrest. These can be held in your home if needed. Please call for more information.

DOULA SERVICES – Many women are interested in hiring a doula (labor assistant) for labor & birth, realizing the need to have an experienced woman present offering emotional & physical support for both her & her partner. Services include a prenatal visit, 24 hr. on-call services for labor & a post-partum follow-up visit within 2 wks. after baby arrives. Call for more detailed information.

CONFIDENTIAL COUNSELING SERVICES – Many issues often surface during the childbearing year, like anxiety about birth or parenting, emergence of memories related to earlier trauma, pre- or post-partum depression or sadness, insecurity around role or relationship changes.
